-SHE TOLD US TO TURN THE CAMERA OFF- A lot of you had asked why, and here it is: Our baby came out very quickly, and in the rush of things her cord managed to get wrapped around her neck as she came out. The nurse "the one with the accent* who had asked us to turn off the camera claimed it was hospital policy, my husband went off on her and told her this isn't OUR L&D not hers, and that she needed to leave, and not to tell us what to do, this is part of our birth plan so basically back off... We think though, it was hospital policy simply b/c of how blue/purple our daughter was, they wanted to cover their own butt if something had happened, or to protect us if our child had been dead. The Dr. cut her cord, untangled it, and then come to find out she wasn't pink due to bruising, not from the cord... B/c of how fast it all happened she had quite a bit of facial bruising, but it went away w/ in 24 hours.
